Course for flutists by Onorio Zaralli
The Flute of OZ is a comprehensive and well designed omline program for flute players who are looking to improve their technique, musicality, and performance skills to reach their potential as musicians.
The course is taught by a very experienced teacher Onorio Zaralli who has created this course based on his over 40 years of performing and teaching experience.
The course covers a variety of topics such as tone production, breathing, articulation, vibrato, intonation, and phrasing, offers important exercises and daily training program, and can be useful for flutists of all levels.
It also includes a community section, where students can connect with each other, ask questions and share their experiences and progress. Additionally, the program offers personalized support from the teacher if a student comes up with a question.
From the teacher:
This course is the result of over 40 years of research. A thorough and meticulous study that begins with a knowledge of physiology (and its operation): this is where any conversation about the flute begins. As we will see in this course, the sound does not come from the flute, but is largely determined by our body.
From physiology, we move on to instrumental technique in order to understand the “how” and “why” of a certain articulation, different types of staccato, vibrato, legato, etc.
For each aspect considered, an exercise is proposed: only this way a “specific” work plan can be completed.
Among the various lessons, you will be offered to watch several videos – in double version in Italian and English – for an even more direct and effective examples. After this course you will gain a clear understanding of how our body works in order to play the flute, how to take your playing skills, sound, vibrato to a new level, how to approach daily studies and new repertoire.
